Custard flan with prunes

Preparation : 15 mn
Cooking time : at least 1 hour

Ingredients :
250 gr of flour
250 gr of sugar
6 eggs
1 litre of milk
Rum - Prunes (about 30) - Salt
A terra cotta flat dish (about 5 cm high)

Preparation :
- If possible, put the prunes in the rum the day before (at least, do it right at the beginning of your preparation),
- Switch on your traditionnal oven, heat 210°C (7),
- Mix the flour, the sugar, a pinch of salt and the eggs together,
- Add gently the milk, stir (and mind the clots),
- Incorporate the rum (about half a glass),
- In a buttered dish, lay the prunes, drop the preparation slowly trying not to move the prunes,
- Cook your "far" in the traditionnal oven, to check the cooking, put a knife inside the cake, if your knife is clean and without any dough, the "far" is cooked,
- As any cake, be careful not to burn the upper side (turn down the heat of the oven if necessary)
- Leave to cool (you can eat it tepid).

As you like, you can change the prunes by sultanas, cherries, apples or eat the cake fruit free.
